You sign in to headnod through a third-party provider (Google or Discord). We receive your display name, email address, and profile photo from the provider you use. You may also set a username and update your profile information within headnod.

We also collect audio samples you upload, genre and DAW preferences you set, and collaboration activity on the platform.

• To create and maintain your public producer profile.
• To match you with potential collaborators based on genre, availability, and mutual interest.
• To display your uploaded samples on your profile so other producers can preview your work.
• To send transactional notifications (e.g., mutual interest matches, collaboration credits).
• To improve the platform through anonymized, aggregated usage analytics.

Your profile, genres, and uploaded samples are publicly visible to all headnod users — that is the core purpose of the platform. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We may share anonymized, aggregated statistics (e.g., total collaborations, genre trends) publicly or with partners. We will share personal information only when required by law.

Audio files you upload remain your intellectual property. By uploading to headnod, you grant us a license to host, stream, and display those samples on the platform. You may delete your samples at any time, and we will remove them from our servers within 30 days.

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We may use privacy-respecting analytics (no cross-site tracking) to understand how the platform is used. We do not run third-party advertising.

We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest for sensitive data. headnod does not store passwords — authentication is handled entirely by your OAuth provider (Google or Discord). While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time through your account settings.
• Export your profile data and uploaded content.
• Delete your account entirely — we will remove your data within 30 days.
• Opt out of non-essential communications.

headnod is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of headnod after changes constitutes acceptance.
