Terms of Service

By creating an account or using headnod, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

headnod is a free platform for music producers to discover collaborators, share audio samples, and credit each other for collaborative work. We provide the tools — the creative decisions are yours.

• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You sign in through a third-party provider (Google or Discord). headnod does not store passwords.
• You are responsible for the security of the account you use to sign in.
• One account per person. Automated or bot accounts are not permitted.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use headnod.

You retain full ownership of any audio samples, images, or other content you upload to headnod. By uploading, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and stream your content on the platform.

You represent that you have the right to upload any content you share. Do not upload content that infringes on someone else's copyright, contains unauthorized samples, or violates any law.

headnod allows producers to signal mutual interest and credit collaborations. Collaboration credits are a record of creative partnership — they do not constitute a legal agreement regarding royalties, splits, or ownership of resulting works.

Producers are responsible for establishing their own agreements regarding compensation, credits, and rights for any music created through connections made on headnod.

• Uploading content you do not have rights to share.
• Harassing, threatening, or impersonating other users.
• Spamming collaboration requests or misusing the interest system.
• Attempting to scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the platform.
• Using headnod for any commercial advertising or solicitation outside of genuine collaboration.

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when possible. Upon termination, your profile and content will be removed within 30 days.

headnod is provided as-is without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the platform running smoothly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, data preservation, or that every connection will lead to a successful collaboration.

headnod is not liable for disputes between producers, lost data beyond our reasonable control, or any indirect damages arising from use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us — which, since headnod is free, is zero.

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
